‘The first step of my scupture exploration was to look at shape making with modrock and chicken wire. The creases and contrast intrested me.’

‘The texture of the fabric is not as seamless as I would want.’

‘This work was the start of converting T-shirts from a everyday object to a sculpture. Perserving the folds of the shirt and adding weight that interacts with the fabric. Plaster has some qualities that make the sculpture too fragile, not fully preserving its form. I have explored further jesmonite as a more suitable material.’

‘This is a catalogue of my T-shirts that are covered in jesmonite. This creates a permanent capture of the shape while also perserving the visuals of screenprinting underneath. I find this the most suitable material to work with.’

‘My final part of sculptural work has been the use and experimentation of large scale fabric, this is to complement the shape of the jesmonite and the t-shirts within installations.’
